Description

Pure Faith is a series of rounded objects stacked in a pile in the middle of the gallery and scattered around the gallery. They were made by covering inflated balloons with packing tape and then popped.

Statement

Pure Faith is sheer materiality. The artist experiments with the behaviour of a common material to see if it could be made to do something it isn’t designed to do. Rather than holding things together it becomes an object. There is an elegance and fragility in the empty forms.
