This series derives from the Sanguine series. Here the artist is using a wider lines in the “weave” and the “threads” are kept at a larger distance. The intention is always to keep an equidistance between the lines. The artist is still using gouache on paper, in this case on a semi transparent vellum. Two sheets are placed together creating depth, framed between two panes of glass.

In all of these works the artist continues her quest of painting and re-painting a cartographic sign embedded with the experiences of exile, memory and emigration: a sustained and unceasing gesture. A gesture that brings to mind labyrinth like marks and brain configurations. These paintings of meandering paths tentatively bring the artist closer in revealing an uncertain destination.
