Description
Undone is made of ordinary plasticine. Some is rolled out into a long strand and then made into a ball. One strand leads to a large flat form with irregular edges where the material has been pushed into the floor, still showing the artist’s finger marks.
Statement
The material has two ways of being: one is three dimensional the other two. There is a transformation where the form of the plasticine, pretending to be string or rope, leads to a field of flatness. There is sense of working with and against physics; the ball ended up cracking in two by the end of the show. The color suggests something visceral, the insides of the body.
Exhibition
