The Veil was a commissioned by a collector of the artist’s work. She gave the artist her wedding veil to use as the basis for a work. In the resulting piece aluminum mesh is sewn to the veil using fine silver wire and cotton thread, it is then suspended using fine wires.

The reformed veil evokes the central core of the female body. It is meant to be light and floating.
