The work is made of silk with metal pins attached to the fabric.

This is a silk shawl full of pins. The type of shawl/ scarf my mother or grandmother would have used (without the pins). It is a way to speak of the body and of pain. It combines emotions and sensations that are opposite, the lightness and softness of the silk and the harshness of the metal pins.

The work was inspired by Dora Salcedo’s work.
